Sentinels

During the COVID-19 pandemic I switched from making wet plate collodion photographs to making silver gelatine glass plates. As movement restrictions were lifted I exposed many test plates in the Victorian cemeteries around Edinburgh. What emerged was a series of portraits. "Sentinels" - guards standing watch or indicators of new life.
